Sweet and Sour Brisket
1 2-4 lb Brisket(1st or 2nd cut)
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup red wine
1/2 cup orange juice
1 medium onion, cut in half & sliced
Salt & pepper
Preparation:
- Preheat oven at 300
- Season brisket with salt & pepper.
- In a hot pan, sear brisket on both sides until it gets some color.
- Mix, ketchup, wine & orange juice.
- Place brisket on an oven safe pan and sprinkle onion on top.
- Then pour sauce.
- Cover tightly with foil.
- Bake around 4 hours or until brisket is soft, easily pierced with a fork.
- Let cool, the refrigerate for at least an hour for easier slicing.
- Slice thinly against the grain and reheat before serving.
