Shmuel’s Mom Cholent
Ingredients:
- 4-5 potatoes in cubes
- 3 carrots sliced
- 1 squash cut in pieces
- 3-4 marrow bones
- 3-4 knee bone
- 2 lbs shank meat
- 1 lbs flanken
- 1 cup white hominy corn
- 4 tbsp coarse salt
- water enough to cover all the ingredients
Instructions:
Add squash and carrots to the bottom of the crockpot, then meats, bones and corn, lastly add the potatoes and salt, fill with water and cover cook in high 1 hour before Shabbat and then lower the temperature, leave it until next day to serve at shabbat lunch.
