Goulash pot with red dry wine
Goulash with wine:
Ingredients:
– 1 teaspoon of thyme
– 3 bay leaves
– 1 tablespoon of paprika (paprika)
– 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper
– 4 finely chopped garlic cloves
– 1 sliced carrot
– 2 tablespoons of salt
– Olive oil
– Tomato paste (quantity to taste)
– 2 cups Wine
Instructions:
1. Mark the meat: In a large pot, heat a little olive oil over medium heat and mark the meat on all sides. Then, remove the meat and set it aside.
2. Add vegetables: In the same pot, add the vegetables (minus the garlic) and fry them until tender.
3. Add seasonings: Add thyme, bay leaves, paprika, black pepper and salt. Mix the seasonings well with the vegetables.
4. Add the meat and garlic: Return the meat to the pot, add the garlic, tomato paste, and wine if you are using it. Mix everything well.
5. Cook: Cover the pot and simmer for about 2 hours, stirring occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the bottom.
Advice:
– Make sure that the meat is completely covered by the liquid; if necessary, you can add a little water or broth.
– You can adjust the cooking time according to the type of meat; some may need more or less time to be tender.
– If you want a deeper flavor, you can let the meat marinate in wine and spices a few hours before cooking.
